Success Story – Aug – Janet Shuffler

by | Oct 26, 2022 | blog

Mrs. Janet Shuffler came to Hallmark Healthcare after a brief stay at MUSC due to left total knee arthroplasty. Mrs. Shuffler was referred to Hallmark for decline in functional mobility and unable to return home safely. While Mrs. Shuffler was at Hallmark Healthcare, she received physical and occupational therapy.

Mrs. Shuffler worked very hard and was very motivated to return home. Mrs. Shuffler’s husband is a long-term patient here with us as well, she was determined to get back on her feet safely to visit and to help him out. Mrs. Shuffler is having her right knee replaced in a few months and stated she will be back for rehab. While she was in the gym, she would motivate other residents to keep going and to push harder. The residents loved her and always wanted to come to the gym while she was present. She was like our Hallmark Mascot!

Mrs. Shuffler returned home back to her prior level of function of modified Independent. She was very pleased with the Reliant team here at Hallmark and is very pleased to be back on her feet!
